To counter this, the air intake system has been meticulously designed for dust optimization, incorporating a cyclone air filter that effectively captures up to 80 percent of dust and larger particles within rubber valves. This strategic design not only leads to decreased maintenance expenses through reduced paper filter contamination but also extends the intervals between filter replacements.

The optional secondary water retarder provides enhanced braking capability, delivering substantial braking torque of up to 3500 Nm. This results in higher average downhill speeds while maintaining a reduced weight compared to traditional oil retarders. Functioning as a wear and maintenance-free auxiliary brake, it's proficient in executing up to 85 percent of all braking operations. Standard on all Arocs models, the Electronic Brake System encompasses Anti-lock braking (ABS) and Anti-slip regulation (ASR). This electronic system regulates the braking action on each wheel independently, incorporating secondary braking mechanisms to enhance safety and minimize wear and tear.

Included as a standard feature in the Arocs is an engine brake, a three-stage braking system that delivers up to 230 kW of braking power.
